Born on February 22, 1988, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Ximena started her journey with dreams in her eyes and passion in her heart. She was determined to leave a lasting impact on the world and she did it with great finesse when she enthralled the global community by winning the coveted crown of Miss Universe 2010.
Humble Beginnings:
Born into a middle-class family, her journey has been nothing less than a roller-coaster ride filled with ups and downs, triumphs and trials. Before entering the world of pageants, Ximena pursued her passion for nutrition by studying it at the University of the Valley of Atemajac.

The year 2009 marked a significant turn in Ximena’s life as she emerged victoriously as the winner of her home country’s pageant, Nuestra Belleza México. This success paved the way for her entry into the Miss Universe competition.

Encumbered by the crushing weight of expectations and the daunting task of living up to the pride of her country, Ximena competed against 82 contestants from all over the world in the Miss Universe 2010 competition. Despite the fierce competition, she seized the crown, becoming the second Mexican to do so.
